As you may have seen on UCnet or Updates from HR, a new, temporary Systemwide Wildfire Catastrophic Leave Bank has been established to benefit UC employees who have been adversely affected by the recent wildfires in the greater Los Angeles region.
Through March 31, 2025, eligible employees may offer to donate their accrued vacation or staff PTO hours to this bank. If an offer to donate is not needed or used, the accrued time will be returned to the team member who offered it. Eligible affected employees from any UC location may receive donations from the bank.
