We are delighted to announce the nomination period for the 40th annual UC San Diego Exemplary Staff Employee of the Year award program is now open through May 23, 2025 at 5 p.m. Pacific. 

The program recognizes employees who make exceptional contributions to the UC San Diego and San Diego communities in support of the vision to be a student-centered, research-focused, service-oriented public university.

These awards will recognize 15 employees in Professional and Support Staff (PSS) positions who demonstrated distinguished service and contributions to UC San Diego and our greater community in 2024 in one or more of the following categories:

A review panel consisting of representatives from all Vice Chancellor areas and UC San Diego Health will evaluate eligible nominations and recommend award recipients, who will be honored at a ceremony via Zoom webinar on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Please plan your nomination submission timeline to include approvals from the nominee's supervisor and department head. Incomplete nominations, including those not approved by a supervisor, regardless of circumstance, will not be accepted or reviewed. Please plan around vacations or employees being out of the office.
