We invite all UC San Diego full-time career staff to apply or submit a nomination for the inaugural Dialogue for Peace Staff Professional Development Fellowship.
The Dialogue For Peace Staff fellowship is a cohort-based learning experience that takes place over two full consecutive days and one half day, exploring Peacemaking and Restorative Justice as a framework to promote dialogue across differences, listening for understanding, conflict resolution, and consensus/community-building.
Dialogue For Peace fellows will learn foundational theories and facilitation skills to become effective facilitators and leaders capable of addressing conflicts and fostering meaningful dialogue. Staff fellows will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned subject matter experts, build connections with fellow staff working on real-world challenges together, and enjoy community meals at each session.
The fellowship will culminate in a final project where staff fellows will receive $250 in project funding to apply their newly gained knowledge and skill set to their own community spaces and departments. Fellowship sessions will occur on October 15, 16 and 17, 2025, concluding with a celebration meal and certificate of completion ceremony. Presentations of final projects will occur during the Winter 2026 quarter at a time and date to be determined. All sessions and final presentations will occur in person on the main UC San Diego campus.
Attendance at all sessions and the presentations is required for participation.
Staff may apply or submit a nomination of a UC San Diego staff member through the following links by 11:59 pm (Pacific Time) on Monday, September 8, 2025:
