Campus Alert - August 27 Training Exercise Event |
As part of UC San Diego’s ongoing commitment to campus safety and emergency preparedness, multiple agencies will conduct a coordinated training exercise on campus on August 27 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a controlled exercise designed to strengthen UC San Diego’s emergency response capabilities. This simulation helps ensure our protocols are effective and that first responders are familiar with campus infrastructure. There may be an increased presence of emergency responders near the staged activity during the exercise. The safety of students, staff, and faculty will not be impacted.
Location
Pangea Apartments and Residence Halls (formerly Marshall Uppers Apartments), including the area south of Thurgood Marshall Lane and north of Exploration Drive between Ridgewalk and North Torrey Pines Road.
|
-
Scholars Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic.
- Parking Lots 303, 304, and 310 will be unavailable.
- The area will be restricted to exercise participants only.
|
Expect visible activity from emergency first responders, and campus personnel. Traffic and pedestrian routes may be temporarily disrupted. Please avoid the designated area during the exercise and follow posted signage or instructions from personnel.
For more information or questions, contact Emergency Management & Mission Continuity at emergency@ucsd.edu.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we work to keep our campus safe, prepared and resilient.
