Free 1Password Password Manager for All UC San Diego Students!

Dear Students,

We know how busy college life can be - between classes, projects, and everything online, it’s easy for passwords and logins to pile up. That’s why we’re excited to share some good news: all students now have access to a free 1Password account through a special campus coupon!

What is 1Password?
1Password is a secure, easy-to-use password manager that helps you:

  • Create strong, unique passwords for every site
  • Store and autofill login credentials safely
  • Keep your sensitive information protected - on all your devices

Using a password manager like 1Password is strongly recommended as a cybersecurity best practice, both in your personal life and your academic work.

How to Get Started

  1. Visit 1Password for UCSD Students
  2. Follow the instructions to activate your free student account
  3. Start securing your digital world today

If you have a LastPass account, you can migrate your data to your new 1Password account. Follow the steps outlined on Step-by-Step Guide to Move Your Data From LastPass.

For Student Employees

  • As a student employee, you may have already received a separate email about 1Password access for staff. Follow the instructions provided in that email to set up your business account.

Why This Matters
