ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF, AND GRADUATE STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

The national honor society, Phi Beta Kappa (PBK), Sigma of California chapter at UC San Diego, is updating its roster of resident members. Resident members are all campus faculty, administration, staff and graduate students who were initiated into Phi Beta Kappa for life by chapters at their undergraduate alma mater.

If you are a member of Phi Beta Kappa, please help update the UC San Diego chapter’s roster by completing this registration form and providing your contact information, alma mater, and year of initiation. There is no charge to register as a resident member. The Sigma Chapter would like to invite you to participate in chapter activities. Please respond by February 16, 2026.

Our Sigma Chapter recognizes UC San Diego students of exceptional academic achievement who complete coursework across a prescribed range of disciplines (humanities, social sciences, natural science, a second language, mathematics or quantitative science). Currently, the minimum GPA requirement is 3.85. Records of students who have completed at least 160 credits and meet the minimum GPA requirement are reviewed for eligibility by chapter electors. Latin honors and membership in PBK are the only academic honors recorded on UC San Diego transcripts. For more information, visit pbk.ucsd.edu.
