Tritons Belong Presents: Dialogue for Peace Faculty Professional Development Program

We invite all UC San Diego faculty who engage in research, teaching, laboratory, or studio activities to apply for the inaugural Dialogue for Peace Faculty Professional Development Fellowship program. All members of the UC San Diego community are welcome to nominate a faculty member to the program. Nominees will be contacted to confirm their interest.

The Dialogue for Peace Faculty Development Fellowship, developed and implemented in partnership with the Teaching + Learning Commons, is a cohort-based learning experience that supports faculty in fostering constructive dialogue across differences in classrooms, departments, research teams, and broader academic communities. Grounded in principles of Peacemaking and Restorative Justice, the fellowship explores approaches to dialogue facilitation, listening for understanding, conflict transformation, and consensus and community-building in higher education.

Faculty fellows will learn from seasoned subject matter experts over five sessions, building connections through working on real-world challenges and enjoying community meals at each session.

The fellowship culminates in a final project in Fall Quarter 2026; faculty fellows will receive $5,000 in discretionary funding to apply their newly gained knowledge and skill set to their community spaces and departments.

Session Dates (All sessions are in person and attendance is required at all sessions):

  • Friday, April 17, 2026, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
