The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Organizational Transformation is accepting applications from interested individuals for the program. The program is open to all and aims to increase representation in leadership roles by preparing senior administrators at colleges and universities for such positions.
The program includes three in-person seminars and a series of webinars over one year. The 2026-27 cohort begins on October 5, 2026, with a virtual welcome and orientation followed by the first seminar in Chula Vista, Calif., from October 28 to November 2, 2026, ahead of HACU’s 40th Annual Conference. The second seminar will be held in mid/late April 2027 in Washington, D.C., at the HACU Capitol Forum. The third seminar will be held internationally in early/mid-summer 2027, location to be announced.

UC San Diego will cover the cost of the registration fees for the applicant(s) selected for the program; the participant and/or participant’s home department is responsible for travel costs associated with the program. Individuals should work with their department to ensure they support their participation in the program and understand associated costs.
