SUBJECT: Timely Warning – Hate Crime Vandalism

On 05-14-2026 at approximately 2:02 PM, the UC San Diego Police Department received a report of a hate crime involving vandalism that occurred on Library Walk.

The victim describes the suspect as a female wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans, a black backpack, and bright red shoes.

The report is currently under investigation by the UC San Diego Police Department.
|

What to do if you are the victim or a witness of a hate crime:

Seek medical attention if needed.
- Call or text the UC San Diego Police Department immediately at 9-1-1.
- Write down the exact words that were spoken or any other information that might be of value.
- Do not disturb any evidence until law enforcement arrives.

If possible, get names, addresses, and phone numbers of other victims and witnesses.
- If possible, get a description of the suspect(s) and their vehicle, if applicable.
