Changes to the Student Portal: MyTritonLink Replaced by the Triton Student System (TSS)

Dear Tritons, 

UC San Diego is introducing a new student system, the Triton Student System (TSS), which you will begin using in July 2026. TSS will be used to enroll in your Fall Quarter 2026 classes and beyond, update personal information, and view holds and class schedules.

What’s Changing

  • MyTritonLink → Triton Student System (TSS) 
  • PID → Triton Student Number (TSN) 
    • Your campus ID card will not need to be reprinted. ID cards printed with the legacy PID will remain valid and do not need to be replaced. 
  • The term “Enrollment” → Booking 
  • Major codes will shift to a new TSS format, as will courses. Courses will now include a hyphen between the subject code and course number, and leading zeroes. e.g., ECON 5 → ECON-005; VIS 21A → VIS-021A; BENG 280C → BENG-280C 
  • Unsure of what applications are changing and what is staying the same? We have a List of Impacted Applications for Students that outlines the future state of applications.

What to Expect & When

From April 2026

  • Some students may see their TSN earlier in some finance and annulment systems. Your TSN and PID will not be the same number, and only new students will be assigned a TSN and will not have a PID.  
  • Enroll in Summer Session courses via WebReg as normal 
  • Continuing student housing timelines are already in progress and follow separate schedules

July 2026

  • Upon first login to TSS: students will be asked to review/update personal information, including: 
    • Mailing address 
    • Lived/chosen name 
    • Direct deposit information 
    • Emergency contact information 
  • Students will be able to access the TSS Student Homepage using their existing UC San Diego account (Active Directory) in mid-July 2026. Until July, students should continue to use current systems as usual.  
  • Students will begin using their Triton Student Number (TSN) within TSS 
  • Students will receive an email notification with information about their fall booking (enrollment) window 
  • Schedule of Classes made available to students 
  • Booking (Enrollment) for Fall 2026 classes (for continuing students) will now take place in mid-July (instead of May) in TSS. (shift from typical timeline - Campus Notice)
