Dear Colleagues:

As was announced in the campus notice issued on May 22, in accordance with the Regents policy requiring that Senior Management Group (SMG) members be reviewed every five years, a formal five-year review of Ann Spira, Vice Chancellor for Advancement, has been initiated.

The review committee continues its efforts to gather feedback on Spira’s performance in the full spectrum of leadership responsibilities as Vice Chancellor for Advancement (VC-ADV), so we have extended the VC-Advancement Five-Year Review Survey deadline to July 7, 2026.

As a reminder, your feedback on this survey, which is anonymous and confidential, will be very valuable for the committee in reviewing and evaluating Spira’s performance in the VC-ADV role. Individuals wishing to email confidential input directly to the review chair may contact Chair Satterlund at vcadvreview@ucsd.edu.
