Responsive applications must be led/co-led by an early career investigator (Assistant Professor/early Associate Professor); include at least one investigator who is in OGRS as well as one investigator outside of OGRS; and propose research on any aspect relevant to women’s health.
The award amount is $20,000 in total costs over one year (no cost extension possible for an additional six months). Funds may be applied to research supplies and personnel effort. The application requires a research plan (specific aims, approach, and description of the team and how this project represents a new collaboration, 4-page maximum, 11-point Arial or Times, 1-inch borders), MPI biosketches and other support (SciENcv format), budget, and budget justification.
Applications should be emailed to cori@health.ucsd.edu by 5 p.m. PST on July 15, 2026. The winner will be announced in early August 2026 for funding starting September 1, 2026. The Women’s Health Innovation Cross-Disciplinary Pilot Grant is generously supported in this inaugural year by the UC San Diego Chancellor’s Office.
