  2. POLICY

    It is the policy of UCSD to conduct operations and activities in such a manner that environmental impact will be kept to a reasonable minimum.

    University operations shall be conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and within accepted environmental standards as appropriate.

  3. PROCEDURES

    Permits will be sought and maintained by each department which conducts or sponsors any activity or operation requiring such Air Pollution Control District (APCD), Water Quality Control Board, State Department of Health Services (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USGC), or U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) permits. A copy of all permits should be forwarded to EH&S.

  4. RESPONSIBILITY

    Each involved administrative unit and individual is responsible for implementing these procedures.
