Notice of Senate Election – Additional Committee on Committees Position

Dear Colleagues:

On January 20, 2026, I provided notice that the election will commence on Monday, April 27, 2026 for the Vice Chair (Chair Designate) of the Division, two Divisional Representatives, and four positions on the Committee on Committees for terms beginning September 1, 2026.

Notice is hereby given that an additional position on the Committee on Committees will be added to the ballot for the election commencing on April 27. This open position is to complete the term of a current Committee on Committees member who is resigning due to other obligations.

Member of the Committee on Committees from a Social Sciences department for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2028.

Nominating petitions are due on Friday, February 27 at 4:30 p.m. and may be submitted by e-mail to Daniel at dcarrillojr@ucsd.edu. Please note that the nominee must have been contacted and agreed to serve the term if elected, before the nomination is submitted.
