Spring 2026 Academic Senate Election Results for Vice Chair

Dear Colleagues:

The result of the second ballot for Vice Chair (Chair Designate) in the Spring 2026 Academic Senate election is below. The number of valid ballots cast in this election was 359, which represents a 12.5% turnout of the current Senate membership.

Vice Chair (Chair Designate) of the Division for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2028; the first year as Vice Chair and the second year as Chair of the San Diego Division.

As previously shared in my April 21, 2026 update on Senate elections, an additional election will commence on June 4, 2026 to fill a vacancy on the Committee on Committees in Physical Sciences. A notice will follow next week with information about this special election.
